Separate storage for general waste, industrial waste and corrugated cardboard found on construction sites
1. Objectives
- General waste, industrial waste and corrugated cardboard (for packing) found on construction sites had been stored not separately but altogether in one place. It was difficult to identify the contents of the waste pile, and the disposal cost was running high.
2. Description
- Waste materials are placed in such containers that waste materials inside can be readily recognized.
3. Effects
- It helped beautify the environment.
- Cost of disposal was cut down.
- Some items suitable for recycling were sent out for recycling.
4. Ideas for continuous application
- Posters are put up to inform the contractors, who come to the construction sites, about the separate storage of waste products.
