Cyclone Smelting Furnace

1. Outline of the equipment

Sludge waste is dried to a moisture content of ca. 10% and crushed and then blown into the furnace together with combustion air. The furnace is kept at the temperature of 1,400ºC or higher and the crushed waste is burnt and molten instantly and the molten slag is quenched to be water-granulated or annealed gradually and then taken out.

2. Capacity and Characteristics

Testing objects: Sewage sludge, etc.
Capacity: A furnace of ca. 15 to 200t/d capacity can be built.
Combustion temperature: More than 1,400ºC in the furnace.
Air ratio: 1.3-1.5
Volume reduction rate: 1/15-1/30
Property of exhaust gas: Similar - the fluidized bed furnace.

Waste heat boiler

3. Features

As inorganic components in the waste are removed as molten slag, high volume reduction rate can be achieved. As heavy metals are fixed in the slag, they are not eluted. Thus safe final treatment can be achieved.
As the high load combustion (8.37GJ/m3h) is possible, the main body of the furnace is small and thus the heat radiation area becomes small and heat loss becomes low.
The molten slag can be used in roadbed materials, interlocking block, water-permeable filter and tiles.
